Mokume Gane, originally a part of Japanese sword-making craftsmanship from 400 years ago, is created through a process of layering and fusing different metals. Subsequent steps of annealing, forging, twisting, filing, drilling, and rolling develop rich textural variations on the metal surface due to color differences and the aforementioned techniques. Each piece's pattern is entirely unique. Mokume Gane rings crafted from gold are often treasured as special artistic collectibles or wedding rings in Western countries and Japan. ◎ The quoted price does not include the center diamond.
