It was a breezy afternoon, the breath of summer days and the flowers’ sweet fragrances invited me to sit and chill at a garden. But all these also reminded me of an apple tree deep in my heart, a tree that bore no fruit all these years. I can’t help but wonder what went wrong… A swish of gentle wind came by, blowing the leaves of the apple tree, a beautiful bright-red apple came into sight, a gleaming red smashed my trance. In that split of a moment, I think I understood something about dreams. I let out a sigh of relief, a curious feeling surging within my body. To fulfill one’s dreams, I realize, takes more than hard work: add on top of it a bit of perseverance, put in some courage, stay away from those talking you out of it, and lastly, have a bit of patience.
