A tale shining in the sky Looking up at the sky, the world is filled with all sorts of shining things. The dull glow is the light illuminating gigantic structures. Since when have humans dreamed of building unimaginably large structures? Perhaps it began with the Tower of Babel long ago. I believe the longing for the heavens continues to this day. Gaze at the dull light shining in the sky and seek even greater heights. This time, the ring combines rose-cut pyrite with brass. Pyrite has been a staple at Atelier Le Tour since the early days of our career. I've only recently begun creating rings, and I'm once again captivated by its texture and color. *This piece is made to order, so please be sure to include your finger size in your message when ordering. We can make rings in 0.5 size increments between sizes 1 and 20. ~Details~ *Metal: Brass *Natural Stone: Pyrite, Rose Cut, Approximately 3mm *Width: Approximately 1mm *Thickness: Approximately 1mm *Sizes available from 1 to 20 (in increments of 0.5) *Each ring is hand-hammered. ~Natural Stone Description~ "Pyrite" This stone, sometimes called "fool's gold," takes its name from the Greek word for "spark." In the past, it was used as a flint because sparks would fly when struck hard with a hammer. It has also been considered a talismanic stone, protecting against human malice and negative environmental factors. "Brass" A metal made from a mixture of copper and zinc, it shines like gold when new, but over time, it darkens due to a process called "sulfidation" caused by atmospheric components. The sulfurization process transforms the piece into a subdued, antique-like quality, allowing you to enjoy two distinct faces: shining brass and subdued brass. In a sense, this metal is a luxurious one. If you're concerned about darkening or tarnish, you can restore its original shine by polishing it with commercially available brass polishing agents. You can also prevent darkening by storing it in a sulfurization-prevention bag or storing it with sulfurization-prevention chips in a sealable bag. Because it contains a high copper content, caution is advised for those with metal allergies. This metal is both tasteful and beautiful, and it's affordable and enjoyable to enjoy, so we hope everyone will enjoy it.
