Many factors influence ring size, including finger shape, tendency to swell, measurement method, season, and temperature. Even with a measuring tool, a perfect fit cannot be guaranteed. It's common for a ring to be slightly loose or tight. As long as it doesn't fall off due to looseness or cause pain due to tightness, it's considered normal. 2. When using a ring sizer, the fit should be comfortable and not allow the ring to fall off. If a size 12 is too loose and an 11 is too tight, a size 11.5 would be ideal. Finger sizes are affected by thermal expansion and contraction between seasons; finger circumference is typically about half a size larger in summer than in winter. Please consider this. Ideally, a ring should feel slightly snug when tried on in summer and slightly loose in winter. Alternatively, wearing rings on different fingers according to the season can be a solution. __If you are prone to swelling, avoid measuring your ring size during periods of swelling__ to ensure accuracy. 3. (A wider paper strip can affect measurement accuracy.) Wrap it around your finger, pulling it snug but still comfortably. Mark where the paper overlaps. Lay the paper flat and measure the circumference, then consult a ring size chart or provide the measurement to the designer. __This method is prone to error if the paper is not pulled evenly or is pulled too tight, so please be mindful__. 7.
