Beautiful red and blue gemstones are often mistaken for rubies and sapphires. It has been a common mineral since ancient times, and is said to have been considered ruby until its name was established in the 18th century. Emerald As one of the four major gemstones, it is a highly renowned stone, with the earliest known record of its use in Babylonia dating back to 4000 BC. Emeralds have a long history of association with humans. Characterized by numerous internal flaws, emeralds exist in three phases: liquid, solid, and gas. They have long been known as a stone symbolizing wisdom. Brass A metal made from a mixture of copper and zinc, it shines like gold when new, but over time, due to the influence of atmospheric components, it darkens due to a process called sulfidation. The sulfurization process transforms the piece into a subdued, antique-like appearance, allowing you to enjoy two different faces: shining brass and subdued brass. It's a luxurious metal in a sense, allowing you to enjoy both. If you're concerned about darkening or tarnish, you can polish it back to its original shine with commercially available brass polishing agents. You can also prevent darkening by storing your brass in a sulfur-resistant bag or by storing it in a sealable bag with sulfur-resistant chips. In the summer, sweat and moisture may cause blue marks or darkening on your fingers, but washing the item will not have any adverse effects, so please rest assured. As this metal contains a high copper content, caution is advised for those with metal allergies.
