Over time, with exposure to weather, temperature, and perspiration, the brass will naturally oxidize, developing a deeper, antique bronze patina. Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the brass. ▾ Hair dyes, chlorine in swimming pools, sulfur in hot springs, and saltwater can permanently discolor silver, brass, and alloy jewelry. Please remove jewelry before water activities. ▾ To clean, use a toothbrush with a small amount of toothpaste to gently scrub the bracelet/necklace. After washing, ensure it is completely dry to prevent accelerated oxidation. Alternatively, use a silver polishing cloth or a brass polish after scrubbing to restore its original luster. ▾ It is recommended to wear brass jewelry frequently. The natural oils from your skin will help it develop a warm, beautiful patina over time. You can purchase 'brass polish' from a hardware store.
