Ring from a British 2 shilling coin from 1937 to 1946. During these years they were minted from silver. Coins of this denomination are also called florins. The coin depicts the symbol of England - a rose, the symbol of Scotland - thistle and the symbol of Sev. Ireland - shamrock. The inscription "IND IMP" stands for Emperor of India, and FID DEF as Fidei defensor (lat.) - "Defender of the Faith."
