Due to its beauty and rarity, it is one of the most captivating gemstones in the world. The English name "Spinel" signifies its angular crystalline form. It is a magnesium-aluminum oxide, hence its similarity to corundum. Spinel possesses a relatively high hardness (8 on the Mohs scale), requiring no special maintenance and is thus very suitable for daily wear. Furthermore, its high hardness allows for a brilliant luster when faceted and cut! Spinel comes in a rich array of colors, and high-quality spinels often have excellent clarity. Superior faceting fully brings out the sharp reflections and exquisite colors of spinel, not only possessing the basic hues of gemstones but also emitting dazzling fire. Due to the presence of different elements, spinels can exhibit various colors. For instance, magnesium spinel can be found in red, blue, green, brown, or colorless shades, while zinc spinel is dark green, and iron spinel is black. The diversity of its colors is astonishing. **Natural Stone Inclusions** The natural stones used in the NOW Design Studio are unique, with almost every piece being one-of-a-kind. These are specially selected natural stones, and we present their colors under different angles or lighting conditions to our clients. Natural stones inevitably contain internal impurities (inclusions); this is unavoidable. If you are concerned about this, we do not recommend purchasing. Avoid direct contact with perfumes and bleach. Please also refrain from storing jewelry in bathrooms or kitchens, as this can accelerate product oxidation. When not wearing sterling silver or K gold jewelry, try to isolate it from moisture and air. Wipe it clean with a soft, dry cloth or the provided polishing cloth, then store it in a PVC zipper bag. Each piece of jewelry should be stored separately to prevent scratches from collisions with other jewelry or hard objects.
