Crescent-shaped silvered blue Roman glass with garnet, Herkimer diamond, kyanite, and ethnic bell earrings

This is a single earring made of crescent-shaped silvered blue Roman glass, generous garnets, Herkimer diamonds, kyanite, and ethnic bells. Roman glass is glass from the Roman Empire period (27 BC - 395 AD). This is a fragment of a vessel or other object that has been polished and drilled with holes. Silvering occurs when glass is buried underground for a long period of time, causing a chemical reaction between the components of the glass and the soil, resulting in a sparkling shine. Not all glass that has been buried for a long time will silver. This phenomenon only occurs when a number of conditions are met. Depending on the angle of the light, you can enjoy beautiful rainbow colors and sparkles! Many parts are silvered. The bottom of a vase? A handle? The blue beads are kyanite. You can see some crystals. They are sandwiched between 18k gold plated Karen Silver. The small bells are parts of the Kuchi people of Afghanistan. They were attached to ornaments and are old items. The bells do not ring. These mysterious earrings resemble a crescent moon emerging from the dark night.
