"auspicious",
It is the hope for protection of the world in Buddhism, and it is the desire for peace and stability among the Chinese. The word "auspicious" is people's deepest wish for life after knowing that life has too many imperfections, ups and downs, fullness and incompleteness, joys and sorrows, separations and reunions.
The Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism, with ingenious totems, pray for all situations in the human world one by one. It is a mindful observation and also an encouragement in the face of adversity in life.
