This is an SDGs jewelry piece featuring Kintsugi, upcycled from Arita-yaki pottery. We reuse broken or chipped pottery that would otherwise be discarded, applying Kintsugi to transform it into accessories. Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect with the future, allowing you to feel close to nature and Japan's enduring traditions. We aim to give these pieces new potential and a renewed existence. We have paired elegant pottery shards, revealing glimpses of leaf and floral patterns, with mother-of-pearl and fluorite. The sides of the pottery fragments are finished with Kintsugi, allowing the gold to beautifully accent the piece from all angles and lending it an air of refined elegance. The ring size is 17mm (which generally corresponds to a size 13 in Japan, though this can vary by brand). However, it is an adjustable type, so the size can be expanded, making it comfortable for anyone to wear. This artwork uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses natural lacquer from the urushi tree, this method uses adhesive for bonding.
