These crystalline deposits are commonly referred to as "silk secretion." This secretion has no adverse effects on the body; Green Sandalwood is a Guaiacum wood and does not release harmful substances. Instead, it releases fresh oxygen. **If the wood has not been used for a while and silk secretion appears, simply wipe it with a dry cotton cloth or tissue!
