With a hardness of 6.5-7, jadeite is relatively easy to carve and polish, which is why carved pieces and items made of jadeite are commonly found in the market. Nowadays, colors can be enhanced through strong acid immersion or laser etching, making lower-quality jadeite appear similar to high-grade jadeite. In the market, jadeite products are typically identified by the letters A, B, and C to distinguish their quality: - Grade A Jadeite: Natural jadeite, unprocessed. - Grade B Jadeite: Bleached and resin-infused jadeite, treated with strong acid cleaning and resin filling. - Grade C Jadeite: Dyed jadeite, treated with artificial coloring. Only Grade A jadeite is considered genuine; the others are artificially treated. 💖 l Care Instructions l - For extended periods of non-wear, store in a moisture-proof bag to minimize contact with air. - Store each piece of jewelry separately to prevent scratches from friction. For chain jewelry, fasten clasps and store in a moisture-proof bag to avoid tangling. - Sterling Silver: Polish with a silver polishing cloth. - Gold Filled/Plated Materials: Wipe with a cotton cloth (do not use silver polish). - Jadeite & Gemstones: Gently brush the jadeite with a soft toothbrush and clean water. Rinse with water and dry with a cotton cloth or allow to air dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid wearing jewelry while bathing in hot springs or near seawater. It is recommended to remove jewelry before showering. Avoid contact with chemical products to prevent oxidation and fading. - It is advisable to apply sunscreen and perfume before putting on jewelry. - All jewelry is handcrafted. Avoid pulling, bending, twisting, or yanking while wearing. 🌹 l Before You Buy l - Jadeite is a natural mineral, so it is inevitable that there may be small natural internal characteristics such as minor lines, inclusions, mineral veins, black or white spots, impurities, mineral deficiencies, pinholes, or fractured ice structures within the ice jade. These are natural phenomena and characteristics, not flaws. Please consider this before purchasing ♥ - Due to hand-carving, there may be slight roughness or unevenness in polishing and grinding.
