Time / Pumice / White Porcelain Ring By the sea I'm always drawn to the varied shapes of stones and pebbles on the shore Wondering what they were like before they reached this place Time cannot be touched But when I trace these eroded hollows It feels as if I can sense the passage of time I sculpt pumice Mimicking the forms of time To capture this collection of jewelry The act of wearing it Reminds me of time's presence * Please Note * 1. No molds are used. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, resulting in slight variations for every ring. Please refer to the dimensions and images below for selection. 2. Clay, before firing, is malleable. Therefore, in the process of pure handcrafting, the rings possess an organic roundness that is not a perfect circle drawn by a ruler. 3. To prevent the white porcelain ring's glaze from adhering to the surface it touches during firing, each ring has an unglazed section approximately 5mm to 1cm long on the inner band. Some rings may also have minor burn marks on the inner band, which occur from contact with the firing support.
