Mokume Gane, a technique originating from Japanese sword-making over 400 years ago, involves layering and fusing different metals. Through repeated steps of annealing, forging, twisting, filing, drilling, and rolling, the surface of the metal develops rich textural variations due to color differences and the aforementioned processes.
