Clay's pliability before firing allows for its shaping. Consequently, under meticulous handcrafting, the rings possess a rounded, artisanal form, not a perfectly geometric circle drawn by a ruler. 3. To prevent the glazed ring from adhering to surfaces during firing, a section of approximately 5mm to 1cm on the inner band remains unglazed. Additionally, some rings may exhibit slight firing marks on the interior, a natural consequence of contact with kiln furniture.
