Iolite was believed to be a stone that guided people in life like a compass. Brass is a metal made by mixing copper and zinc. When new, it shines like gold, but over time, it darkens due to the influence of the components in the air, which causes a phenomenon called "sulfurization." By "sulfurization," the piece changes to a calm atmosphere like an antique, and it is a luxurious metal in a sense that you can enjoy two faces of brass, one shiny and the other calm. If you are concerned about the darkening or dullness of brass, you can polish it back to its original shine with a commercially available brass polishing agent. You can also prevent darkening by storing it in a sulfurization prevention bag for daily storage, or by storing it with a sulfurization prevention chip in a sealable bag. In the summer, blue marks or darkening may appear on your fingers due to sweat or moisture, but please rest assured that there will be no adverse effects if you wash it.
