An open ring with three small freshwater pearls lined up. Two pearls, one large and one small, are strung together and the seam is finished off with gold dust sprinkled on it. Metal is threaded inside the pearls to make them durable. The sight of pearls of different sizes lined up on your finger is very cute. [About Kojima Crafts' "Kintsugi Pearl"] "Kintsugi" is a traditional technique in which chipped or cracked ceramics are repaired by gluing them together with lacquer and sprinkling gold powder on the seams. Inspired by this, I started making "Kintsugi Pearl". Pure gold powder is sprinkled between the two pearls. After the gold powder is sprinkled, it is polished with a special tool made of natural stone (agate spatula) to give it a refined texture. From design to production and shipping, everything is handled by artist and designer Kojima.
