This is a series of handmade ring, made of maple veneer, epoxy resin and brass. All the veneers I use are reported as leftovers by manufacture factories. One day, I found them coincidentally, and was totally attracted by their natural pattern, I think there are might ways to make them be useful again before they get burned off.

The name ‘Les Bonbons’ comes from french, it means ‘candies’🍬, I love the pronunciation because is cute and memorable. The reason why I name them ‘Les Bonbons’ is simply because they do look alike. It reminds me a kind of pure joy from childhood which I also want to deliver while people wearing them😄.

There are four different colors. ‘Yogurt’, the light one, made from original bleached maple quilted veneer. ‘Coffee’, the brownish one, made from Spalted Maple Veneer. And I use indigo plant dye on ‘Mint’ and ‘Strong Mint’ which also made from bleached maple quilted veneer.

There would be no special maintenance required, the whole ring is waterproof. Considering brass is an unique material. It might gradually show different levels of natural oxidation or aging texture according to contact with human sweat. I personally like it as an antique texture. But if you don't like it, you can totally polish the brass part by using one of two ways below. Hope you find a way to get along well with Brass.
Method 1: Squeeze a red bean-sized non-particle toothpaste on the brass part and knead gently until the oxide layer is gradually polished away, then rinse with water.
Method 2: Sand the brass part with 3000 grit sandpaper (soak in water before sanding), until it is as bright as new (as shown below).
