The circumference of the same finger on your left and right hands may differ, so please measure the finger on which you intend to wear the ring. Measure Finger Circumference with a Tape Measure or String 1. If you have a soft measuring tape, measuring tape, or string typically used for tailoring, you can use it to measure your ring size. 2. Wrap the tape measure around your finger starting at the 0 cm mark. Tighten it snugly, but comfortably, and the resulting number is the inner circumference of your finger. You can then find the corresponding ring size by referring to the size chart. Measure the Inner Diameter of an Existing Ring If you have a ring that you frequently wear and find comfortable, you can measure its inner diameter. Use a ruler or calipers to measure the inner diameter of the ring. For dirt or tarnish, gently wipe with a silver polishing cloth.
