Using a non-stretchable paper strip or measuring tape, pull it taut around the "widest part" of the finger where you'll wear the ring. Measure the length and then compare it to a ruler to find the "Inner Circumference." (Note: This method may have a larger margin of error due to variations in individual measuring techniques.) 4. We recommend wearing your jewelry frequently. The natural oils from your skin can impart a beautiful, warm luster to the metal. 3. Over time, jewelry can oxidize, causing tarnishing or yellowing/blackening. You can gently brush the surface with a damp soft-bristled toothbrush and toothpaste or polishing powder, or use a silver polishing cloth or copper polishing cloth to restore the original metallic shine. 4. If your jewelry has a special oxidized finish, avoid excessive polishing to preserve the design effect. 5. If you are concerned about potential skin reactions to the chemical agents in polishing cloths, rinse your jewelry with clean water and dry it thoroughly before wearing. 6. Natural stones, crystals, and pearls can be cleaned with clean water and then wiped with a soft cloth. 7. When not wearing your jewelry, clean it and store it in a sealed bag to slow down the oxidation process. 8. Avoid storing different pieces of jewelry together in the same box. Varying hardness can cause friction and wear. 9. Never use abrasive tools to clean your jewelry, as this can leave scratches on the surface.
