Hoping to transform into birds and soar high, but the unyielding gate remains tightly shut. Day after day, resentment builds, Only awaiting the arrival of revenge. An endless wait. This time, I attempt to express anger using a completely different concept, or perhaps a fantasy about prison. The tightly locked cage represents the desire for peace, concealing a movable fist within. As the wearer moves, it constantly strikes the cage, representing the inability to release inner emotions. Another clever touch is that because metal scratches from repeated impacts, the fist, after long-term wear, will be etched with marks, representing the long-suppressed inner self, thus detailing the first state of conflict—repression.
