Due to its beauty and rarity, it is one of the most captivating gemstones in the world. The English name "Spinel" means a crystal with sharp angles. It is a magnesium-aluminum oxide, hence spinel shares certain similarities with corundum. Spinel has a relatively high hardness (8 on the Mohs scale) and does not require special maintenance, making it very suitable for everyday wear. Furthermore, due to its high hardness, faceted cuts exhibit a very dazzling luster! Spinel comes in a rich variety of colors. High-quality spinel often has excellent clarity, and excellent cuts fully showcase the spinel's sharp reflections and vibrant colors, not only possessing basic gemstone hues but also emitting dazzling fire. Due to the presence of different elements, spinels can have different colors. For example, magnesium spinel can range from red, blue, green, brown, or colorless; zinc spinel is dark green; iron spinel is black, and so on, with an astonishing array of colors. **Natural Stone Inclusions** The natural stones used in the NOW Design Studio are all unique, with almost every piece being a one-of-a-kind item. These are specially selected natural stones, and we present their colors under different angles or lighting conditions to our clients. Natural stones will inevitably have some internal impurities (inclusions). If you are concerned about this, we do not recommend purchasing. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, bleach, and please do not store jewelry in the bathroom or kitchen, as this can accelerate product oxidation. For sterling silver or K gold jewelry, when not wearing, try to isolate it from moisture and air. Wipe it clean with a soft, dry cloth or the provided polishing cloth, then store it in a PVC zipper bag. Each piece of jewelry should be stored separately to prevent scratches from collision with other jewelry or hard objects.
