After returning from a two-month trip to Italy in 2005 to learn Italian, I began sharing my travel photography and stories with everyone at the market by turning my photography into postcards, independently published books, and other works. What makes me happiest is that my travels can bring courageous power to others. When I meet with everyone face to face at the market, I often play the role of a problem solver to answer various travel questions. The interactive communication and feedback between each other is also the driving force that motivates me to continue traveling.
Footprints: Kanto, Kansai, Gunma, Ginza, Yunnan, Sichuan, North India, Tibet, England, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Bogota, Quito, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Iceland, Ladakh, Kashmir, New Zealand, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Iran, Turkey, Taiwan mountains. In the early days, I preferred city travel, but recently I have been traveling more to the wilderness. The stories of my journey are slowly accumulating.
In addition, when traveling in Central and South America, I was deeply attracted by the textile craft and began to learn ribbon creation. It is woven according to traditional weaving principles and techniques. This is a technology that existed before the advent of looms. A small single pattern can produce several shapes continuously on a long strip of ribbon by changing the weaving method. The ancient craft is ever-changing. It can be applied to camera straps, belts, hair bands, wrapped around hats, pendants, and bracelets. All patterns are designed and produced by myself instead of copying the original totems. A craft must add one's own ideas to have new life.
