The predecessor of SFOGATO started as a local vegan leather manufacturer in Taiwan. Eight years ago, with thirty years of expertise in chemical materials, we developed the industry's highest specificationsolvent-free vegan leather. Both the manufacturing process and the finished product do not contain organic solvents. (DMF/DMAC), toxic heavy metals and plasticizers (DOP). Our philosophy is to provide the most environmentally friendly leather solutions, and our three major insistences are: non-animal sources, no chemical solvents escaping (non-toxic), and no environmental pollution after decomposition.
At present, the plain leather industry uses the characteristics of cowhide as an indicator. After years of hard work, our plain leather has far surpassed cowhide in strength and durability, and is extremely similar in appearance. We can even adjust different surface textures according to needs. Limited by the difficulty of the environmentally friendly manufacturing process, SFOGATO vegan leather is scarce.
In the past eight years, our vegan leather has entered many well-known brands, such as TUMI, Giant in the United States, UNIQLO in Japan, etc. Due to the high quality and scarcity of SFOGATO vegan leather, it is often used by these brands for key structural parts or appearance modifications. Its strong and environmentally friendly properties are used by Japanese Professional Baseball as a raw material for vegan leather gloves.
In 2021, due to the ideal of environmental protection, we independently developed vegan leather with exclusive technology into products. Although SFOGATO vegan leather is scarce, in order to create 100% environmentally friendly products, 100% SFOGATO vegan leather is used in the leather part. We recruited professional designers who are extremely demanding on leather bags to design and create SFOGATO. We use the highest quality plain leather made in Taiwan and combine it with a simple and beautiful Italian design style. Abandoning complexity and presenting our insistence on being environmentally friendly in the simplest way.
In the same year, we designed the first product of SFOGATO. The entrepreneurial team has personally tried it until now. After experiencing various changeable weather in Taiwan, strong sunlight or rainy and high-humidity environments, the bags have remained intact as new. Only in this way can we ensure that the product quality is sufficient. For sale on the shelves, we use the model of a leather factory to support a design company, allowing designers to have unlimited time and resources to carefully craft products.
SFOGATO vegan leather is what we think is the best leather solution in the world. It is also the best choice for health, environmental protection and animal friendliness. In the future, our team will adhere to the original intention of being environmentally friendly and continue to develop better products for different demand groups. Although in a capitalist society that focuses on low cost and high efficiency, the road to pursuing true environmental and animal friendliness is full of thorns and obstacles. But our determination and persistence are as strong as SFOGATO leather.
