iù-lōo (小路) means meticulous workmanship in Taiwanese. Just like Japanese つまみ sewing, it requires meticulous craftsmanship to create beautiful works.

When I first came to Japan in pursuit of traditional kimono culture, I got to know つまみ hair accessories while studying. After trying to learn how to make them, I fell in love with this craft. It took me nearly 10 years to learn and create, and I progressed from making hair accessories to making more. They are exquisite earrings and jewelry, and are more suitable for daily wear. I also hope to share this traditional craft with you in a more life-oriented way.
