Many people ask why I can't ship via SF Express. I would be happy to ship via SF Express, as it is good, fast, and affordable. However, SF Express is unwilling to ship packages containing herbs and powders (they inspect each item and then personally seal the box, making it impossible to conceal anything). Therefore, if you wish to purchase herbs and powders, shipping via post is the only option. Some long-time loyal customers may also notice an increase in shipping costs. In fact, Taiwan Post has increased its shipping rates across the board. Previously, shipping started at $170 NTD, but now it starts at $250 NTD. We are actually losing money on shipping, especially with our free shipping offers for orders over a certain amount. The smallest package from Taiwan to Hong Kong now starts at $248 NTD. I have the postal receipts, and you are welcome to view them if you have any doubts. Therefore, the price increase was unavoidable. We do not aim to profit from shipping fees; we have long absorbed these costs and continued to offer free shipping promotions. Furthermore, Pinkoi's fees are very high, coupled with Taiwan's business tax, our operational pressures are considerable. Our sole focus is on providing you with more natural and higher-quality products. The shipping rate increase was truly a last resort. We hope for your understanding and continued support.

About Inca Palo Santo:
Palo Santo is a "sacred wood" used by indigenous peoples of the Americas in rituals thousands of years ago. It holds profound significance for them. Lower grades of Palo Santo are burned in ceremonies to purify spaces and connect with the spirit world. Medium grades are used to craft scepters and ritual wands. The highest quality Palo Santo is not even permitted to be harvested and is instead worshipped as divine. In Peru, Palo Santo is designated a national treasure and cannot be arbitrarily harvested. Only a very small number of companies with national legal harvesting permits are allowed to do so. The name "Palo Santo" in South America means "sacred wood," a fitting name as it transforms itself into a sacred and medicinal substance from birth, growth, to death. Typically, a Palo Santo tree lives for 80-90 years before dying. At this point, it must remain intact for 4-10 years to complete its entire transformation process. Only in this state, after this complete process, do the properties of Palo Santo reach their full potential. Palo Santo has been used by shamans and medicine men in Peru and Ecuador for millennia, and to this day, you can still see shamans and healers in the Andes Mountains using Palo Santo in their ceremonies, and it is even more prevalent.
Aroma Description:
Passionate, delicate, sweet, warm woody notes.
*About Fountain Pens:
Also known as ink pens, they are an evolution of dip pens. Unlike dip pens, they do not require constant re-dipping into ink for every stroke. They are writing instruments with an internal reservoir that continuously supplies ink to the nib through gravity and capillary action. In the long history of Western writing tools, the evolution went from quill pens > metal dip pens (increased nib durability) > fountain pens (higher nib durability, ink storage system, durable barrel). By the 19th century, pens with ink storage systems had emerged, but their designs were not yet optimal and often suffered from ink leakage, so dip pens remained the mainstream. It wasn't until the late 19th century that Mr. Lewis Edson Waterman, known as the father of the fountain pen, while working as a salesman, lost a sale due to a pen's ink leakage. In frustration, he took his tools and modified the ink delivery mechanism of the pen feed. The world's first fountain pen utilizing the capillary principle for ink delivery emerged, becoming the ancestor of all modern fountain pens. He founded his company in 1883 and patented the capillary ink feed in 1884. In the early 20th century, fountain pens gradually replaced dip pens.
*Fountain Pen Features:
The writing principle of a fountain pen is the capillary action of the pen feed, which transports ink to the nib for writing. Due to the nib's design, writing with a fountain pen requires attention to technique and angle to avoid scratching the paper or experiencing uneven ink flow. Fountain pens, both in the past and present, symbolize professionalism. This stems from their intricate craftsmanship; the choice of barrel materials and nib design often reflects a distinct taste. The thickness of the nib and the choice of ink will affect the writing presentation, thus offering considerable variation and artistry in the written word itself. When carrying a fountain pen outdoors, it is best to carry it with the nib pointing upwards and avoid vigorous shaking to minimize the chance of ink leakage. When stationary, simply lay it flat.
Fountain Pen Maintenance:
The Japanese call fountain pens "ten-thousand-year pens" (mannen-hitsu), as with proper care, a fountain pen can be your lifelong companion. The best way to maintain a fountain pen is by cleaning it. It is best to clean it regularly (with plain water) and maintain this habit. In cases of severe clogging, the nib and feed may need to be removed for cleaning. Therefore, when not in use, be sure to empty any ink. This prevents ink sediment from clogging the ink channels of the feed and significantly reduces the chance of long-term nib corrosion from ink.
Fountain Pen Ink:
The vast majority of inks used in fountain pens are dye-based inks. Dye ink, as the name suggests, uses dyes to color the solvent. Typically, water is used as the solvent, with binders added to achieve the desired viscosity. Dye inks are homogeneous solutions and will not precipitate or clump if they have not deteriorated.
*About Ballpoint Pens:
Ballpoint pens are a modified and developed type of self-priming fountain pen, incorporating the structural principles of press-action ballpoint pens. They combine the advantages of both fountain pens and ballpoint pens, representing a new type of writing instrument. Ballpoint pens possess the self-inking capability and smooth, natural writing of fountain pens, along with the convenience and portability of press-action ballpoint pens, where the cap and barrel are integrated and ink does not leak out automatically. They are an evolutionary product in modern writing instruments with broad market potential. The connection part of the ballpoint pen is manufactured.
