Chichei is a Turkish word meaning "flower lover".
I also knew it for the first time.
This work is inspired by Turkish flower lover paintings.
In the past, I received a small Turkish flower lover painting and decorated it, but I suddenly noticed it and decided to make use of it in Kiriko.
I'm inspired by the paintings, but I haven't kept the prototype in order to incorporate it as a Kiriko design, so it's almost like a design I created.
The line in the middle is the core of the flower lover, the part that corresponds to the bud.
Petals wrap around it.
The petals are frosted and finished in a frosted glass shape.
The flower lover are roughly cut deep, and this is done as a device to give a good feel.
You can feel the edgy and comfortable feel of Kiriko.
The lower part has large leaves.
The large leaves are directly connected to the bottom cut, giving a sense of unity when looking through the glass from above.
Imagine the part that hits the fruit between the flower lover.
The surroundings are shaved with a grain-like image, and the traditional chrysanthemum connection pattern is cut inside.
This is the most difficult cut among traditional patterns.
Chrysanthemum connection is a pattern that has meanings such as health, disease-free breathing, and nobility.
In addition, the sides of the part near the bottom are roughly cut flat in three places.
We are shaving with our custom-made equipment.
It has been sharpened to change the shape of the bottom, and there is an original that cannot be put out in other workshops.
The overall design is quite original.
The mouth is semi-circular and rubbed with an inclination on the side of the mouth to improve the mouthfeel.
I tried about 10 patterns and rubbed them in a semi-circular shape because it was the most palatable.
I'd like you to drink water first, but I think that just water is very delicious because of its good taste.
It is an elaborate design that takes a considerable amount of time to produce.
We would appreciate it if you could consider it for yourself, as a gift, or to improve the brand image of the store.
The Kiriko of our workshop is polished using the traditional method of Edo Kiriko, "hand polishing", which maintains the strength of the glass and finishes it with high quality.
On the other hand, there are some things in the world that polish the glass while immersing it in an acid called "acid polishing" and melting the entire glass into pieces.
Acid-polished ones have the disadvantages of being easily scratched and the color may fade, but since the man-hours can be reduced and the price can be sold at a low price, sales will improve, so many workshops and writers perform acid-polishing. We are here.
Since the cut surface of our workshop is polished one by one, the original strength of the glass is not lost, and you can wash it with a detergent or scrubbing brush.
Please note that boiling water, microwave ovens and dishwashers cannot be used like any other glassware.
The handling method is explained in detail on the homepage of the workshop.
