From the Austronesian roots, to the Formosa described by Westerners during the Age of Discovery, to the stories of crossing the strait from the mainland, to the traces left behind by different peoples arriving and departing through time, to the homeland we inhabit today. The history of "grand eras" forms the backdrop of our growth, while the "small moments" belong to the fragments of memory from our youth. These are scattered amongst the fishing huts in coastal villages, the beaches where we ran and shouted with friends, the coastal roads stretching forward against a deep blue backdrop, the sandy western shores, the rocky northern coasts, the crashing waves against the reefs, the resolute fishermen guiding boats into the harbor, the lively fish markets filled with cheerful calls, the casual and delightful seafood snacks...
