Mr. Nakamura, a somewhat shy yet remarkably graceful artisan, has retired from the kimono-making profession. With his exceptional eye and skill, he selects exquisite kimono fabrics to create these one-of-a-kind coin purses. - ◾️ The [Black Cat Series], inspired by beloved cats: Mr. Nakamura is meticulous about the materials used for his coin purses. He specifically chooses 100% "Tango Chirimen" premium kimono silk for the exterior, which is then dyed black. The golden lines are meticulously applied and adhered by hand, stroke by stroke, using gold leaf. The lining varies with each batch. (This level of dedication is almost overwhelming for both myself and the artisan...) With their playful, lively eyes paired with a classic, elegant design, these purses are sure to be loved by everyone, whether you're a cat enthusiast or not. ------ The spirit of dedication, "issho kenmei," is fully evident in the details and material selection of his work. For instance, his insistence on using pure, natural silk immediately sets his coin purses apart from those made with synthetic fibers or cotton found elsewhere.
