While the gold and silver content is minimal, their presence enhances the overall quality. Expert craftsmen meticulously mix these metals before heating the mold at high temperatures (1,000–1,200°C). The bowls are then hand-beaten using a variety of hammers, transitioning from metal to wooden hammers throughout the process. To enhance durability and sound quality, the bowls undergo a unique double-hammering process. After initial shaping, they are dipped in Himalayan salt water and hammered again. This process is delicate, as excessive force can cause cracks, requiring great skill and patience. Once the double-hammering is complete, the bowls are carefully trimmed, buffed, polished, and finally colored. The result is a bowl with a deep, smooth, and long-lasting sound, producing strong vibrations.
