Crafted from smooth, fine-grained white clay that enhances the vibrant glazes. A subtle off-white matte glaze and three glazes that evoke the colors of spring. These elements are combined to create this generously sized bowl. As the glazes melted and blended during firing, they formed soft, flowing patterns of color. The colors and patterns shift with the angle of view, offering a variety of visual experiences. Its plump, rounded form is undeniably cute, and combined with the bright colors, it truly brightens up any dining table. The interior primarily uses a matte glaze, allowing you to enjoy the colors even with transparent broths, such as consommé-based soups. Each piece is handcrafted, from wedging the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, using a small electric kiln and electric potter's wheel in my home studio. In some cases, colors may seep into fine cracks (crazing), or moisture may emerge from the surface. To address this, we apply a water-repellent treatment to all our tableware before shipping, eliminating the need for initial soaking (mezoma). This treatment requires 2-3 days to complete, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement. If you do not require this water-repellent treatment, please inform us at the time of purchase. - Cutlery shown in product images is not included. - We strive to capture and edit product images to be as true to the original as possible. However, colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and lighting conditions.
