Painting-style early morning lotus pond - rectangular plate

Pottery, handmade, hand-painted, one-of-a-kind Length 20cm Width 22.5cm Height 2.5cm The image of the sun beginning to rise over land that is still shrouded in darkness, illuminating a lotus pond, has been recreated with a painterly design on the vessel. The fine-grained black clay is hand-painted with white decorative mud, and then finished by painting it and carving lines into it with the tip of a sword. It is covered with a glossy transparent glaze, but there is some unevenness and roughness due to the engraved lines. The plate is made by cutting a thick, flat block of black clay into a roughly rectangular shape with the edges raised, giving it a heavy, sturdy weight. *Unlike porcelain, pottery (earthenware) has a soft, warm ceramic surface. Also, there may be pinholes (holes in the glaze) or small chips in the glaze which do not affect the use of the product, but we hope that you will consider these to be part of the unique character of earthenware and add to its charm. This is the unique imperfect beauty, or charm, of earthenware. Since pottery is made from clay, when you hold it in your hands it gives a more rustic impression than it does in pictures. However, that's only at the beginning, and once you get used to it, you'll start to appreciate the quality of the real thing, its texture and simplicity. *The color of the actual product may not be exactly the same as the image, depending on the device you are using. I adjust images and list items on my PC, but they seem to look more vivid on my smartphone. Recently, we have been trying to match the colors to those on smartphones, but please be aware that there may be differences in color between the image and the actual product.
