Vintage German Gritzner-Kayser model "Extra" sewing machine with original wooden case. Max Carl Gritzner founded his sewing machines, bicycles and motorcycles factory in Durlach in 1872. It ended up becoming the largest sewing machine factory in Europe. This machine has serial number 123533, and it estimated to have been manufactured sometime during the first half of the last century. It comes with a little metal box with some tools and spare parts. This sewing machine is in good working order, although, as it is an antique, we recommend using it for decorative purposes. It is in fairly good condition with signs of aging and usage that are representative of its age. The wooden case and wooden base have some surface marks due to usage.
