"Memento Mori" Latin for "Remember you must die." Indigo dye was applied to both the front and back, followed by discharge dyeing to create the pattern, which is then sewn onto the fabric. The heart is hand-embroidered. The fabric was first dyed yellow, then gently indigo dyed. This results in a unique color palette. Due to the layering of dyes, there are areas of uneven color that appear darkened (see photos 5 and 6). Please refrain from purchasing if this is a concern. Each piece is hand-dyed and discharge-dyed individually, so you can enjoy a one-of-a-kind indigo-dyed item that is truly unique in the world.
