It is an earthenware with warmth and flavor. After shaping the clay into a bowl with a rim, we had it fired not in our usual electric kiln at home, but in the oil kiln of a kiln owner we are currently indebted to. It is fired using a reduction firing method, which creates an oxygen-deficient atmosphere inside the kiln during firing, allowing you to enjoy a deep, nuanced character that cannot be achieved with an electric kiln. The size is suitable for use as a serving bowl or as a dish for one person. It can be used for serving simmered or stir-fried dishes, for rice bowls, or for noodle dishes like mazesoba, and even for pasta. The soft gradient from crimson to white, unique to this glaze, is deeply flavorful and harmonizes with a variety of ingredients. Please enjoy it with various dishes. Production is done entirely by hand, from clay kneading to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, with a small electric kiln and electric potter's wheel set up at home. While it may feel a bit heavy to hold, this weight conveys the authentic feel of pottery. Mass production is not possible, but each piece has its own unique expression, and you can enjoy the nuances that come with handmade work. The item you receive will be the same as pictured. The surface that contacts the table will be sanded smooth before delivery. We create various ceramics in various colors and shapes, exploring the best combinations using different glazes and clays. For this reason, we apply a water-stopping treatment with a ceramic sealant before shipping, so there is no need for a preliminary water-stopping process. The water-stopping treatment requires 2-3 days, so we set the shipping period from order to dispatch at 5 days.
