**Brand Story:**
In its earlier days, TRIFARI pieces were often unmarked. Between 1918-1925, the initials "TK" were used within a circular stamp, predating Fishel's joining the company in 1925. From 1935 to 1939, possibly into the early 1940s, "KTF" was used. However, markings like "TRIFARI PAT NO 2050804" and "TRIFARI CLIP MATES" were sometimes found near a "T".
In late 1937, their advertising agent suggested that the Italian pronunciation of "TRIFARI" would be more appealing than "KTF," leading to the official trademark registration of "TRIFARI" in 1937.
From 1942-1947, the "TRIFARI STERLING" mark was used on pieces made of sterling silver, often produced during periods of material restrictions due to the war.
