→ Product Introduction
Ru ware, historically renowned as the foremost of the Five Great Kilns of the Song Dynasty, is characterized by its lustrous glaze and a finish like congealed fat. Its understated elegance and refined simplicity made it a peerless ceramic masterpiece of the Song era.
Teacher Ye's Ru porcelain has an appropriate iron content and is fired with controlled reduction. The body is a pale grey, and the glaze shifts between sky blue and powder blue under different lights, creating a sense of fusion between the clay and the glaze. The crackles on the glaze are as fine as fish scales, and as they come into contact with tea, the patterns deepen, enhancing its润泽 (moisture and luster).
Furthermore, this piece features different glaze colors on the rim, reminiscent of flowing landscape paintings, imbuing the tea ware with added variation and vitality.
The cup shape is hand-thrown on the wheel, with a rounded form that fits comfortably in the hand, showcasing the potter's decades of craftsmanship.

* Most products in this design館 (studio/gallery) are purely handmade, and the glaze or ash glaze on each piece will vary. This is precisely the charm of ceramic art. Therefore, once a piece is sold out, it will not be restocked, and an identical piece cannot be found. If a piece you like is purchased by someone else, we regret that you can only choose another piece from the design館, and we ask for your understanding. Alternatively, you can contact the designer to see if a similar piece is available.
* Dimensions are measured by hand and may have an error of within 0.5 cm.
* There may be some marks from the trimming process, as each piece is handmade or semi-handmade, and there will inevitably be some individual variations.
* During the production process, the glaze or ash glaze may exhibit unevenness and flowing phenomena. This is a natural occurrence and is precisely what is emphasized in natural glazes. Ceramics are inherently natural. If you have any questions about the product, please send us a private message.
* The product is photographed in a studio with adjusted lighting and environment, but no post-production editing is used. Please refer to the actual product for color accuracy, as discrepancies will not be considered defects.
