Add an elegant touch of lustrous pearls to your hairstyle.
We've crafted a hairpin featuring a single pearl, designed to hold your hair securely.
The hairpin has a gentle wave, providing a strong hold.
Each baroque pearl is unique in shape, creating a one-of-a-kind treasure.
Perfect for elegantly sweeping aside side-swept hair that tends to get caught on masks, or for tucking into a relaxed updo, or as an accent at the base of a gathered hairstyle.
As they are baroque pearls, they offer a sophisticated yet effortless vibe, avoiding a overly formal look.
These freshwater pearl hair accessories are rarely found on the market due to the difficulty in mass production.
They add a touch of cool, understated luxury.
Catching the sunlight, they bring a stunning luster and transparency to your outfit.
Consider wearing a pearl, a symbol of "protection," as your personal amulet.
This single, lustrous accent, shimmering in silky hues to iridescent rainbow tones under the sun, brightens your expression.
Hairpin length: Approx. 55mm
Freshwater pearl: Approx. 10-14mm
■ Please Note ■
* While the pearls are securely attached, to prevent deterioration, please gently open the "pin clasp" with your fingers to attach and remove, rather than pulling on the pearl itself.
* Because baroque (unevenly shaped) pearls are used and adhered, the adhesive is intentionally allowed to slightly overflow on the back for a strong bond. Please refer to the photos provided.
* Please avoid getting the item wet.
* The item will be shipped in a box.
■ About Pearls ■
Purity, Health, Longevity, Wealth, Dignity, Patience, Safe Childbirth. Birthstone for June.
Also known as "Dewdrops of the Moon" or "Mermaid's Tears" for their beautiful luster.
We use freshwater pearls (淡水真珠) formed within freshwater mollusks such as Hyriidae.
Pearls have a history dating back to around 3200 BC in Egypt. Legend has it that Cleopatra dissolved one in vinegar and drank it.
Records show pearls were used in other parts of the world, including China around 2300 BC, Persia around the 7th century BC, and Rome around the 3rd century BC.
In Japan, mentions can be found in the Nihon Shoki, Kojiki, and Manyoshu. The Gishi Wajinden also records that Himiko's successor, Toyo, sent 5,000 pearls to Cao Wei. The Manyoshu includes 56 poems that feature pearls.
June is designated as the birthstone in Japan, a rule based on its status as a specialty product. In Western countries, hardness is prioritized for heirloom pieces.
Pearls are said to be the jewel that best suits Japanese women, resembling the natural skin tone of Japanese women.
