We value its relaxed, natural texture that allows you to enjoy "aging" rather than "deterioration." Because it is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, there are inevitably "weaving flaws," which may appear as what looks like "fraying." While these are unavoidable with the use of old machinery, we make every effort to minimize them through thorough inspections at the factory, careful avoidance during fabric cutting, and by using them in less conspicuous areas if found. However, due to the nature of the machinery, they cannot be entirely eliminated. We hope you will appreciate these weaving flaws as a mark of authenticity, born from the use of old shuttle looms, and embrace them as part of the bag's character.
