The main bead, adorned with a filigree pattern, is an Afghan silver bead crafted around the mid-20th century. It has been worn, and its gentle patina is utterly captivating! Its irregular shape only adds to its charm. (Afghan silver bead size: 1.4 cm length, 1.2 cm diameter) Nestled within the Afghan silver bead is a small, antique blue bead. The multifaceted beads, decorated with triangular and square patterns, are metal beads from the Tuareg people, a nomadic community of the Sahara Desert in Africa. The cerulean blue bead is an Indopacific bead. The origin of Indopacific beads dates back to the 2nd century BC. This particular bead is an archaeological find from Indonesia, dating back to approximately the 10th century – making it over 1000 years old! The connecting pin and the flower-like component are made of Indian silver. The ear cuff itself is crafted from silver sourced from India (925 Sterling Silver), featuring a subtle pattern near the center. Its slightly substantial presence makes it a striking piece to wear on its own.
