Bell-shaped Lidded Container with Gold and Red Maple Decoration

The maple leaves are meticulously hand-painted, layer by layer, and fired repeatedly. The gold and red enamel decoration is technically challenging, requiring careful attention to temperature and humidity control during the process. The lid is also fitted with great care. Items placed inside will resist drying and moisture loss, making it suitable for preserved foods, konpeito (sugar candy), or even for serving rice and enjoying outdoor meals.
