Chawan

This tea bowl was made on my pottery wheel in Taiwan. As I was throwing the bowl I attempted to add some unique character by leaving some nice ridges in the clay. This bowl is slightly open, inviting, and ready to receive. While glazing I added some iron brush strokes, adding to the uniqueness of the piece. I believe that a good tea bowl should show the hand of the maker. My seal is stamped near the turned foot ring. Be the owner of an original handmade tea bowl. This one could be yours.
