This tokkuri (bottle) was thrown on the wheel in my workshop here in Taiwan.
I used local Taiwanese clay and then wood-fired the piece. I did drizzle some glaze down one side to add some interest.
This tokkuri has some nice variations. The glaze, the slightly iridescence of the body, and then a nice section that shows the bare clay.
This tokkuri will be right at home in amongst your sake ware.
