Storytime:
Years ago, I discovered Gertrude Stein in the film *Midnight in Paris*. Her story captivated me, and I learned that her home in 1920s Paris was the most legendary literary salon of its time.

To delve deeper, I sought out a rare book, "27 Rue de Fleurus," which I painstakingly found at a second-hand bookstore. I rushed to acquire it the very next day.
Every Saturday night, the doors of 27 Rue de Fleurus would open. It was a gathering place for the then-struggling Picasso, a young Hemingway working as a journalist, and Matisse. They would converge here as if coming home, sharing cigarettes and wine, arguing passionately about art, only to burst into laughter and reconciliation. They often sought solace and conversation with Gertrude during times of heartbreak or disappointment.
Her apartment, though not large, was adorned with paintings. Gertrude possessed impeccable taste, championing many artists who were not yet famous. Her walls showcased works by Picasso and Matisse, alongside pieces by Cézanne and Renoir.
Here, she and her partner Alice built a warm haven, welcoming friends to find comfort and inspiration.
Gertrude was not only an art collector but also a writer. The phrase "Rose is a rose is a rose" on this garment originates from her. At the time, she felt that the word "rose" had become laden with overly romanticized meanings, often tied to love or death.
She believed a rose is simply a rose, free from labels, existing as itself.
