In 1952, the Japanese official designated Amita Damascene Co., Ltd. as an export retail store (duty-free shop). It produced many products for export to the West, and the director was able to collect some Japanese products from the West. The metal inlay craft can be traced back to Damascus, the capital of Syria more than 2,000 years ago.
