There's a small story behind why we decided to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just before a scheduled business trip to Korea, a sudden curfew was announced. It was lifted just before our flight, and we arrived in Korea without incident. However, upon reaching the subway, we found ourselves trapped in a train car as protesting crowds surged in. We were squeezed, struggling to breathe and move, almost floating. Inside, we kept asking ourselves, "What do we do? Could this turn into a stampede?" We constantly encouraged each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, stand firm to avoid falling. Thankfully, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, leaving us shaken and in tears.
A few stops later, we exited the subway and unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene postures instantly calmed the turbulent waves we had just experienced. Us, dazed and frightened, felt as though we were firmly back on solid ground.
It truly made us feel, from the bottom of our hearts, that it's wonderful to have cats in this world.
Hyejin's cat creations are such treasures.
And thus, this unexpected partnership came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modernity with traditional Korean techniques, crafted slowly and meticulously by hand.
We are deeply fond of the retro and nostalgic feel in her work, which strongly evokes the folk painting scrolls of Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke outlines incredibly delicate details, creating artworks meant for prolonged admiration.
Creating art with traditional Korean craftsmanship requires immense patience. The artist applies color layer by layer, achieving rich depth and saturated, profound hues.
Even tiny butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with exquisite detail and soul.

Each painting captures cats sharing our space. Their "unhurried" and "quietly accompanying" demeanor conveys the artist's intended message.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin primarily uses her own cats as her muses, depicting them as both playful and sharp-eyed, embodying that perfectly 'fierce yet cute' personality. There's a sense of conflicting yet harmonious unity, a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, she depicts the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art.
She employs techniques like *Gongbi* (meticulous brushwork) and utilizes Hanji (traditional Korean paper), materials less common in the market. This paper lends a gentle warmth to the overall palette, while the intricate *Gongbi* lines imbue the artworks with refined detail.

This warm feeling, this unique combination, allows contemporary painting styles to integrate seamlessly.
