It is crafted by hand-assembling individual pieces of abalone shell, meticulously aligned to maintain the flow of the natural pattern. Each piece displays unique natural grains and vibrant colors; after being hand-polished and wrapped around a brass barrel, a thick layer of clear lacquer is applied, creating a finish that is visually seamless to the eye and smooth to the touch. The natural, colorful, and dazzling textures make each pen a stunning piece (natural patterns vary; quality selection is shipped at random). The pen features an airtight cap with water-ripple engraving, finished with antique red copper or grey chrome plating. It includes a flexible spring-loaded clip and is adorned with the 3952 Yushan logo on the cap top. The pen uses a German BOCK #180 (#5) small rose gold steel nib, available in EF, F, M, and B tips. If your handwriting is small or compact, we suggest the EF tip (extra fine) or F tip (fine).
