Therefore, __regularly purifying your crystals is very important__. It's recommended to establish a habit of purifying your crystals regularly, for instance, on the first day of each month or during the full moon (the 15th day of the lunar calendar). There are many ways to purify crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. Perhaps the most frequently mentioned method is soaking in saltwater. However, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be damaged by salt or water, so Joyce personally doesn't recommend this method. If you have white/purple crystal chips, geodes, or clusters, you can place your pendulum directly inside or on top of them when not in use. Of course, the chips, geodes, and clusters used for purification also need to be purified regularly, such as by placing them in sunlight for solar purification or under moonlight for lunar purification. Joyce finds __smoke cleansing__ to be the most effective method so far! You can light palo santo, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense, and then __purify with the smoke__.
