The opening can be rolled down and adjusted in size, allowing it to be used as a clutch bag. In the photo showing two sizes side-by-side, the left one is this size. It's finished to be both firm and soft, making it comfortable to hold and easy to carry. The simple design is suitable for both men and women, making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe. When folded, it becomes flat like a paper bag, making it easy to carry as a secondary bag. A leather stiffener is inserted at the bottom inside to maintain its shape. The hardware for securing the bottom stiffener is attached on the inside, creating a clean finish without exposed metal parts. To achieve the texture of paper, the leather, normally 1.5mm thick, is sliced to 0.5-0.6mm. Special processing is applied to the reverse side to ensure strength is not compromised. This prevents any leather dust from shedding. Unlike the wrinkled finish of cowhide previously used, this leather is a smooth, domestically sourced, high-quality oil-finished horsehide. The leather is thoroughly infused with oil during the tanning process, and as you use the bag, the oil will gradually settle, developing a sheen over time. Horsehide, with its thick and long fibers, offers a unique suppleness and durability not found in other leathers. Its smooth, almost clinging texture and strength even when thinly sliced are essential qualities for this KAMIBUKURO design. You may notice areas that appear like stains; however, as this is a natural material, variations in dye absorption can lead to differences in color intensity.
